Homemade Hemp Seed Milk
Probably one of the easiest things you can make from hemp seeds, is raw, wholesome, vitamin packed hemp seed milk. This has been a staple in my fridge for over the past decade. It is a great substitute for dairy or soy that can be used in everything from your morning bowl of hot or cold cereal or smoothie to your cuppa caffeine. I make a fresh batch every 2-3 days and because it’s inexpensive, super healthy and quick to make, you’ll find yourself indulging in more of life’s creamy comforts, minus the guilt.
- 2 cups filtered water
- 3 tablespoons Sacred Superfoods Organic Hemp Seeds (or add more for a thicker milk)
- Blend in any blender for 1 minute. Simply leave in the blender as is for your smoothie liquid and add the rest of your ingredients, blend and enjoy!
- OR
- For a smoother milk, to use for all your favorite milk alternatives, simply strain with a nut milk bag (worth investing in, or you can use clean pantyhose until you get your nut bag!) Sweeten to taste if you desire. Lasts in the fridge for 3 days.
